about us

Faith, hope, and love in action every day

Garrison Wesley Church traces its story to the garrison and mission congregations of 19th-century Secunderabad. Rebuilt in stone and lovingly restored in 2014, our church continues in the Wesleyan tradition and the liturgy of the Church of South India.

We are a welcoming family in Trimulgherry where longtime members, newcomers and visitors from the nearby stations can find worship, fellowship and a place to belong.

our vision

A Welcoming, Christ-Centred Church

To be a welcoming, Christ-centred congregation that grows from grace to greater grace — caring for its neighbours and for the heritage entrusted to it.

We see Garrison Wesley Church as a house of prayer for all people — a place where every family, every generation and every visitor finds worship, fellowship and a place to belong, and where our historic church is cared for and passed on to the generations to come.

  • A church family where everyone is welcome
  • Faith that is passed on to our children and youth
  • A heritage church cared for with love and good stewardship

our mission

Worship, Grow, Serve

To worship God, grow in faith, and serve our community in the love of Christ.

Our mission is lived out every week — in Sunday worship in English and Telugu, in our fellowships and Sunday School, and in reaching out to the people of Trimulgherry and Secunderabad with care and practical help.

  • Worship — gathering faithfully around Word and Sacrament
  • Grow — nurturing faith through Bible study, Sunday School and fellowship
  • Serve — showing God’s love to our neighbours and those in need

our approach

In the Wesleyan Tradition

To live out our faith through the Wesleyan tradition and the liturgy of the Church of South India.

Our worship follows the CSI liturgy, shaped by the warm-hearted faith of John Wesley — a faith of the heart that shows itself in love for God and for our neighbour. As a congregation of the Diocese of Medak, we are guided by our Presbyters and serve together in openness, accountability and good stewardship.

  • Scripture-centred preaching and the CSI liturgy
  • Faithful pastoral care for every member and family
  • Transparent, responsible stewardship of the church’s resources
