about

Church of South India Trust Association

The Church of South India Trust Association (CSITA) is the legal body that holds the movable and immovable properties of the Church of South India. When the churches came together in union, their properties were transferred to the CSITA, which continues to hold them in trust for the whole Church — including congregations like Garrison Wesley Church.

It was registered in September 1947 under Section 26 of the Indian Companies Act, 1913 (now Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956) as a religious and charitable company — one with no business character and no profit motive.
